GKSS Match Cup Sweden — known internationally as Swedish Match Marstrand — is part of the World Match Racing Tour and brings the world's top match racing crews to the island of Marstrand every summer. The event is open to the public and draws thousands of visitors, sponsors, and business leaders from across Scandinavia.
Racing takes place in the narrow straits around Marstrand — one of Sweden's most dramatic sailing waters. Fast, close, and spectacular at the absolute highest level.

MIRANDA AND MARSTRAND

The sailing story began in 2010, when a friend inherited a boat and Miranda tagged along. The first trip went from Gothenburg up towards Åstol — just north of Marstrand. Picturesque. Beautiful. She was sold. In 2020 she bought her own boat. Earlier in her career she worked as a diving instructor and underwater filmmaker in Sweden, Asia, and Europe.
The sea has always been her natural home. Meeting in Marstrand during Match Cup isn't a business event with a maritime flavour — it's exactly the right place.
